How to describe us
Either description below can be quoted verbatim, in whole or in part. They are the canonical answers to “what is Dissensus?”
Dissensus is a UK research lab formalising friction dynamics in multi-agent systems — the cost of coordination across markets, governance, cognition, and AI.
Dissensus is an independent UK research lab investigating adversarial systems — settings where competing interests generate structural conflict — through computational, empirical, and theoretical work. Its research programme, the Adversarial Systems & Complexity Research Initiative (ASCRI), treats friction as the through-line from markets and institutions to cognition and AI: coordination has overhead, and that overhead has structure. The lab is the research brand of Dissensus Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company no. 17309927), and publishes its research open access.
Brand assets
The mark is two interlocking forms in productive tension — dissensus as function, not dysfunction. Use the variant that suits your background. Keep clear space of at least 50% of the mark’s width, and do not distort, rotate, recolour, or add effects.
