2.1 Form Submissions

When you submit a collaboration proposal or subscribe to research updates, we collect the information you provide through our forms. This may include your name, email address, institutional affiliation, discipline, and any content you include in your proposal or message.

Form submissions are processed by Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form processing service. Formspree acts as a data processor on our behalf. Their privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

2.2 Analytics

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect limited analytics data including page views, referrer information, and country-level geographic data. Cloudflare’s Web Analytics does not use client-side tracking, does not set cookies, and does not collect personal data.

2.3 What We Do Not Collect

We do not:

  • Use advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts
  • Sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing
  • Use profiling or automated decision-making
  • Collect data from minors

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, we process personal data on the following bases:

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): When you voluntarily submit a form or subscribe to updates.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): For site analytics and security, where our interests do not override your rights.

5. Data Retention

Form submissions: Retained for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry or maintain the collaboration relationship. Deleted upon request.

Subscriber data: Retained until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting research@dissensus.ai.

Analytics: Cloudflare retains aggregate analytics data. No personal data is stored.

  • Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure — Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)

7. Cookies

This site does not set first-party cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security purposes (e.g., bot detection). These are exempt from consent requirements under UK cookie regulations.

8. International Transfers

Form data processed by Formspree may be transferred to servers outside the UK. Formspree maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers. Cloudflare operates a global network; analytics data may be processed outside the UK under their standard data processing agreements.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption for all site traffic and secure third-party processors. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Significant changes will be communicated to subscribers.
